Meetings will be held in the framework of the Forum of gas exporting countries, which will be held in Iran. It is also possible Novak meeting with colleagues from other countries.
MOSCOW, 13 Nov. Minister of energy Alexander Novak plans in the framework of the Forum of gas exporting countries (GECF) to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Venezuela, Iran, Qatar and the UAE.
“Usually we meet with all our colleagues who participated (in the forum). Sure we will meet up with my colleague from Venezuela, from Iran, Qatar, UAE. There are still others, but the graphics are still evolving,” said Novak.
The Minister of energy of the Russian Federation on November 21, will participate in the Ministerial meeting of the GECF, which is expected, will develop a communiqué that will be accepted the first persons of the countries-participants of the forum. Earlier on Friday the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that Vladimir Putin will visit Iran on November 23 and will participate in the forum of gas exporting countries, is expected to hold bilateral contacts with the leaders of the participating countries.
The forum of gas exporting countries includes countries that are leaders in the world in the export of natural gas. The GECF was founded in 2001 in Tehran and legally established on December 23, 2008 in Moscow, where energy Ministers of member countries adopted the forum Charter and signed an intergovernmental agreement. Participants of the GECF are Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. Iraq, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, and Peru participate as observers.
