Russian Railways in connection with the terrorist attacks in France introduces additional security measures


MOSCOW, November 14. JSC “Russian Railways” (RZD) after the terrorist attacks in France imposes additional security measures on objects of railway transport in the context of the recommendations of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation. This is stated in the message of the company.

“Additional measures have been taken to strengthen the protection and access control on the most important railway transport objects and objects with mass stay of people. Strengthened control over observance of security measures in the territories, stations, sludge passenger trains and on routes of movement of trains”, – informs the company.

With workers of station complexes, locomotive and train brigades special instructing is conducted with the purpose of increase of vigilance and working off of actions in case of emergencies, the company notes.

A series of terrorist attacks occurred on Friday evening in Paris and the Metropolitan suburb of Saint-Denis at the Stade de France, which hosted the football match between France and Germany. According to recent reports, the attack made eight terrorists, seven of whom blew themselves up using a belt with explosives, one was killed by the police. The victims of the tragedy were 128 people. Another 250 people were wounded, 99 of them are in critical condition.

In connection with the incident, President Francois Hollande announced the introduction in the country of state of emergency and intensified control of crossing the state borders. However, the airports of the French capital are not closed, railway transport continues to work.
