Heavy trucks will pay 1,53 rubles per kilometer traveled on Federal highways


MOSCOW, November 15. Trucks with a permissible maximum weight exceeding 12 tonnes from November 15 will pay 1.53 per ruble for each mile of way on Federal highways in the Russian Federation. Such fees, according to the decree of the RF government dated 3 November, will continue until 29 February 2016.

The reduced fee is achieved by using a decreasing ratio of 0.41 to the previously adopted rate of 3.73 per 1 ruble per km From 1 March 2016 until 31 December 2018 heavy trucks will pay the tariff with a reduction factor of 0.82 – 3.06 rubles per 1 km. From January 1, 2019 the fee will be for heavy vehicles full – 3,73 rubles per 1 km on Federal highways.

Purpose – compensation of harm to highways

Preparations for the introduction of fees from heavy vehicles was carried out by Federal road Agency about two years. The ultimate goal of the project is to compensate for the harm caused to highways of General use of Federal importance lorries with a permissible maximum mass exceeding 12 tonnes.
