Iran seeks markets petrochemicals, lost due to sanctions

TEHRAN, November 15. /Corr. Alexander Levchenko/. Iran is in finding customers in the international market of petrochemical products. This was stated by General Director of the National Iranian petrochemical company (NINH) Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs.

“Currently we are negotiating with Spain and the countries of the CIS by opening our branches there, – quotes the words of official news Agency FARS. – We also aim to establish joint ventures with petrochemical “heavyweights” in these countries. Thus we expect to regain lost us because of the sanctions of the markets.”

In Iran started construction of 67 petrochemical enterprises, to complete which requires foreign investment, said the CEO of NINGC. “After completing the construction and commissioning of projects of production capacity of petrochemical products in the country will amount to 120 million tons per year”, – said Niknafs.

Over the past year (according to the Iranian calendar ended on 20 March) NNHC earned $3.5 billion on the sale of petroleum products abroad, providing 35% of the country’s exports in this field.
