Dvorkovich will take part in the work of the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental Commission


The parties will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in fuel and energy complex, oil and gas, renewable energy, nuclear energy and the aluminium industry and gas supplies via the Western route to China.

MOSCOW, 16 Nov. Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich on Monday will take part in Russian-Chinese intergovernmental Commission to be held in Beijing.

According to the press Secretary Deputy Prime Minister Aliya Samigullina, the parties are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation in fuel and energy complex, oil and gas, renewable energy, nuclear power, and aluminum industry.

According to the head of the Russian Ministry of energy Alexander Novak, the two sides also will discuss gas supplies via the Western route to China.

At present Gazprom is engaged in the construction of the gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” for gas transportation to China via the Eastern route, also held talks on the construction of the pipeline “Power of Siberia-2” — Western route through Altai. Gazprom and CNPC in may 2015 signed an agreement on the basic conditions of pipeline deliveries of natural gas from Russia to China along this route.

In September, Novak has said that he considers normal, if the contract with China on gas supplies via the gas pipeline “Power of Siberia-2” will be concluded before the end of 2015 or early next year.

The Western route stipulates the delivery of gas to China from fields in Western Siberia in the amount of 30 billion cubic meters per year in the first phase.
