MOSCOW, November 16. The state Duma on 17 November, will consider and adopt a statement in connection with tragic events and a series of terrorist attacks in Paris. This was announced on Monday to journalists by the speaker of the house Sergey Naryshkin. “Tomorrow at the session of the State Duma deputies will consider and adopt a statement in connection with tragic events in Paris, and the day before in the Lebanese capital Beirut,” said the Chairman of the lower house.
He recalled that on Saturday sent his condolences on behalf of the state Duma the Chairman of the French National Assembly and the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament. “In the text of the telegrams and reads about the necessity to unite the efforts of parliamentarians in the fight against the great evil of international terrorism”, – stressed Naryshkin.
As reported earlier, the head of the Committee for public associations and religious organizations Yaroslav Nilov, state Duma speaker “instructed the state Duma Committee on international Affairs to prepare a draft statement”.
Earlier, the Chairman of the state Duma Sergey Naryshkin said that he considers important in the near future together with the Europeans to find new anti-terrorist solutions to counter this threat. “We must be together in the face of terrorist threats. I think it is important in the near future together with European partners to seek new anti-terrorism solutions that can withstand this terrible and common threat”, – quotes the speaker on the official website of the lower house of Parliament.
Naryshkin also brought condolences to the people of France in connection with a series of terrorist attacks in Paris. “I want to Express to the people of France sincere condolences in connection with the series of terrorist attacks in Paris. Share the pain of the relatives of the dead, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured”, – he said.
According to Naryshkin, Russia “shocked by the scale of the tragedy and mourn together with France about the innocent victims who died at the hands of insane killers”. “I have no doubt that the French authorities will conduct a prompt and full investigation and establish those responsible. No one should escape from punishment”, – said the speaker of the state Duma.
A series of terrorist attacks in France
A series of terrorist attacks occurred on the night of November 15 in Paris. In the concert hall Bataclan, the unknown took hostages. Attacks also were made on the Boulevard, Sharon, Boulevard Voltaire, on the Rue Fontaine-AU-ROI and on the street Alibert. In the capital’s suburb of Saint-Denis at the Stade de France, which hosted the football match between France and Germany, bombings.
Attacks made eight terrorists, seven of whom blew themselves up with belts of explosives. Another was killed by police.
According to the latest data, as a result of attacks of terrorists killed 129 people, and about 350 were injured.
In connection with the incident, President Francois Hollande announced the introduction in the country of state of emergency and the introduction of intensified control of crossing the state borders. He later stated that the responsibility for the attack bears the terrorist group “Islamic state” (banned in Russia).
Hollande also called on the citizens to unite at this difficult time. “We must show solidarity and unity. France needs to be strong,” – said the head of state.
