Raiffeisen Bank has denied information about the intention to sell Russian business


Moscow. November 17. Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) has no plans to sell Raiffeisenbank, reported the press service of the Russian credit organizations.

“The official representative of RBI said yesterday that the group has no plans for the sale of Raiffeisenbank in Russia. The RBI group has repeatedly confirmed its commitment to the Russian market and stressed the importance for Russian business. Raiffeisenbank intends to continue its development in Russia, with the support of shareholders,” said the spokesman.

Yesterday Agency Bloomberg referring to sources reported that RBI is discussing the refusal announced the sale of Polish units and sell instead of the Russian Raiffeisenbank.

The Russian subsidiary of RBI in the first half of 2015 brought the group EUR 180 million – more than half of its net profit.
