Moscow. November 17. Executive Vice-President of JSC “VimpelCom” sales and service Sergey Rumyantsev is leaving the company on December 1 announced it on Facebook.
“This is the decision we Michael slobodina (General Director of “VimpelCom”) agreed some time ago. I really appreciate our relationship that has developed. Respect what Michael does. I wish you strength, patience and building a real team. I did everything I could during this time, I got a real nice, in my opinion, the team and laid the basics for future changes in function, but realize that haven’t worked in the first person, and purely salaried employee in a large Corporation,” wrote Rumyantsev.
He also said that he plans “to rest, because for 15 years in two to three weeks vacationing”. “And there are small projects that have the desire to do it” – added the Vice-President of “VimpelCom”.
Rumyantsev was appointed Executive Vice-President of “VimpelCom” in September 2014. He began his career in the position of sales representative British American Tobacco from 1996 to 2001, he worked at Diageo and its distributors. Then, until 2003, led the purchasing Department in Metro Cash & Carry. From 2003 to 2005 he was responsible for working with key Federal partners in the Russian Nike.
Since 2005, Rumyantsev held senior positions in the retailer “Svyaznoy” Maxim Nogotkov. In 2008 Rumyantsev at the head of the management team of the retailer was invited to the JSC “Mobile TeleSystems” (MTS) for the development of the monobrand network operator, which for 2.5 years has grown from 200 stores up to 2500. In 2011, in partnership with Nogotkov founded the company Enter, which currently remains a minority shareholder.
