Medvedev on November 18-19 to take part in the APEC summit in Manila


MOSCOW, November 18. Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on November 18-19, will participate in the 23rd summit of heads of state and government forum “Asia-Pacific economic cooperation” (APEC) to be held in Manila (Philippines).

Also on the first day of the summit the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation will participate in the plenary session of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC APEC), will be followed by a dialogue with the leaders of the Pacific Alliance that includes Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Chile. As the source noted, “the active participation of Russia in APEC is an important component of the work on the implementation of the course on building comprehensive engagement with Asia-Pacific countries in the interest of their own socio – economic development, primarily via the accelerated rise of Siberia and the Russian Far East.
