“There are two or three proposals for taxes. As you know, wine in Greece is not subject to the special consumption tax. If you love wine, don’t worry. It is about 30 cents a bottle. Think it not much affect the consumption of white and red wine,” said Tsakalotos.

The Greek government introduced in the summer of VAT at 23% on private education — schools, courses foreign language and Informatics, tutoring and more. This provoked mass protests, and the authorities have promised to replace this tax with other taxes.
