“Gazprom-Media” will sell their content to regional channels


Moscow. November 18. JSC “Gazprom-media holding” has launched the project for the sale of television content of Russian regional TV channels.

The company “Alcazar content service” will sell to regional broadcasters of the library rights of the holding company, as well as offer them the opportunity to form a mesh broadcast with consideration of the peculiarities of viewership, audience of the channel and its editorial policy, the report said “Gazprom-media”.

The company has already formed package deals – broadcasting, consisting of more than 75% of Russian content, most of which – film and TV series.

Library rights “Gazprom-media” includes projects of the holding companies “Central partnership”, “NTV-Kino”, Comedy Club Production, Media GoodStory, “Red Media”, “NTV-Plus”, as well as projects of its own production of NTV, TNT, TV-3, “Friday!”, “Match TV” and 2×2. It movies, series, entertainment, educational and informational programs, animation and documentary films.

Broadcasters will be able to generate packages on the basis of its own content and foreign content, rights to which the holding company has.

“Thanks to the consolidation of a number of production studios and domestic production of our TV channels, today “Gazprom-media” is the owner of one of the largest libraries of TV content in Russia,” – said General Director of “Gazprom-media” Dmitry Chernyshenko.

“In recent years, the share of regional TV audience has declined substantially, many TV channels have to abandon their own production and enter into partnership with telecommunication networks. Today we can offer access to the largest in Russia the library of the rights to quality content of Federal TV channels, which will allow local players to increase their competitiveness”, – said General Director of “Alcazar content service” Peter the Fisherman.

“Gazprom-media holding” owns terrestrial television channels NTV, TNT, “TV3”, “Friday” and 2×2, manufacturer and distributor of thematic channels “Red Media”, left (“Central partnership”, “NTV-Cinema” and Comedy Club Production), 10 radio stations (Avtoradio, Energy, “Humor FM”, “Radio Romantika”, Comedy Radio, Like FM, Relax FM, Children’s radio, “Echo of Moscow”, 101.ru), print media (publishing house “Seven days”, the newspaper “Tribune”, magazine-the teleguide “Panorama TV”) and Internet resources (Rutube and Now.ru).

The revenue of “Gazprom-media” in 2014 increased 28.3% to 72,03 billion, net loss amounted to 2,094 billion rubles against a profit of $ 8,63 billion rubles a year earlier (the data from the report of Gazprombank).
