A joint meeting will be held in the hall of columns, the participants will discuss the issues of joining efforts in the fight against terrorism, said state Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin.
MOSCOW, 19 Nov. State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin said that he had no information on possible participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin to a joint session of both chambers of the Russian Parliament on 20 November where it is planned to adopt a statement on terrorism.
“So far as I know about it,” said the speaker of the state Duma to journalists, answering the question whether the participation of the President in the event or a video address to parliamentarians.
Naryshkin also noted that the joint meeting of the two chambers of the Russian Parliament on Friday will be a Declaration on combating terrorism.
He recalled that the joint meeting will be held in the hall of columns, the participants “will discuss the issues of joining efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism”.
“At the end of a joint meeting scheduled to take a General statement”, — Naryshkin said.
The Duma speaker added that the lower house of Parliament in the meeting will be attended by the leaders of all factions, is also expected to several speeches from representatives of the Federation Council and representatives of four denominations. In addition, the meeting will be attended by the heads of the regional parliaments, two of them (representatives of St.-Petersburg and Tatarstan) will make presentations.
