MOSCOW, 20 Nov. Russian companies may participate in the tender for the construction of new metro lines in Tehran and the purchase of rolling stock, said in an interview with the mayor of the Iranian capital Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf.
“Yes, why not? We always hold a tender and the winner, including the issue of supply wagons, will be determined in a competitive struggle,” he said, answering the question, should we expect Russian participation in tenders for construction and maintenance of new metro lines.
“When will be announced the tender for the purchase of wagons, Russian companies can take part”, — he added.
The mayor of Tehran said that already about a century underground stations, total length of track is about 200 kilometers.
“And for the next two years we will build another 50 kilometers. with regard to cooperation with Russia, we can use the mutual experience. To use our experience in Moscow and Moscow in Tehran. You have certainly more experience in this field, especially in management and operation, as well as the introduction of safety systems on transport in the metro,” said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
