Medvedev did not rule out the possibility of a miracle in the trade negotiations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine

Moscow. November 19. Moscow sees little chance for an agreement with Kiev on trade, likely from 1 January 2016 will be introduced by bradenburg, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to journalists following the results of the APEC summit.

“The probability to reach any agreement, considered as very low, but miracles happen sometimes, including in such issues,” Medvedev said.

“We are faithfully waiting. If not reached the relevant agreements, that this pause ends, all signed documents and in this document, which was signed by Ukraine this position is: right now, it delayed – commences on 1 January 2016”, – said the Russian Prime Minister.

“Losses of the Ukrainian economy, I think, fairly significant. Some Ukrainian colleagues are counting on the knee, called some numbers. I think that it is quite difficult to calculate, even despite the reduction of trade turnover between Russia and Ukraine, it’s still hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars”, – said Medvedev.

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said yesterday that Ukraine’s exports to Russia in 2016, according to preliminary data, will be reduced by $600 million, in the case of the introduction of the Russian trade embargo.

According to the state statistics service of Ukraine, exports of goods from Ukraine to Russia for the first 9 months of 2015 fell by almost 2.3 times, or by $a 4.53 billion to us $3,61 billion, while imports decreased by more than 1.9 times, or by $5,02 billion to us $5,47 billion.
