The Russian Federation submitted to the UN security Council renewed the draft resolution on the fight against terrorism
“We’re talking about war, which is declared to the civilized world, and in this situation you need to agree, not to count, who benefits, whether to do with the Russians or do not. This reasoning seems immature and undignified,” said Medvedev.
He expressed the hope that “in connection with what is happening, the position of our partners will change and eventually this will contribute to the formation of a broad antiterrorist coalition, which brings together countries interested in the eradication of terrorism in the middle East and the destruction of the Islamic state (group banned in Russia) as a phenomenon”.
Medvedev added that the work on creation of the coalition from the Russian Federation will be continued, “in the near future will continue contacts, including with the French President, at other levels of consultations on this subject will be continued.”
The Prime Minister noted that the issues of counter-terrorism in the agenda of the APEC summit was not included, but at the level of personal conversations, the issue was discussed. “In this sense, this communication was useful, it will be continued during the summit of ASEAN,” he said.
