Oil production in Sakhalin grew for 10 months by 15.5%


Increased gas production by 0.6%. Coal enterprises of the Sakhalin region increased coal production by 4.8%. While the average income of the population grew by 10.6%.

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, 20 Nov. Oil production in the Sakhalin region in January-October 2015 amounted to 13.8 million tons, 15.5% higher than the same period last year, the report said governments in the region.

Gas production rose by 0.6% and amounted to 23.2 billion cubic meters. During the reporting period, the coal enterprises of the Sakhalin region produced 3.7 million tons of coal (growth by 4.8%).

“The gross regional product for January-October 2015, according to estimates, amounted to 691,5 billion rubles, or 111.4 percent to January-October of 2014. The volume of industrial production amounted to 617,8 billion rubles, or 114.4%,” — said in the release.

The catch of fish and seafood (according to the ctuu of Rosrybolovstvo) was 627,4 thousand tons (decrease on 0,5%), recycled 429,8 thousand tons (increase by 7.2%). The output of agriculture amounted to 7.3 billion rubles (growth by 0.6%).
