Russia has not received proposals on cooperation with the Transpacific partnership

Moscow. November 19. Moscow has not yet received any offers of joining the TRANS-Pacific partnership (TPP), said at a press conference following the APEC summit on Thursday, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“Agreed, and, thank God, so to speak. We also hinted that our country and some other countries would like to see the inside of this partnership, but I, frankly, any documents on this subject has not received formal proposals had not seen,” – said Medvedev.

“But it is important to remember that everything we create certain kinds of partnerships, certain trading models, trade regimes. We just created the Eurasian economic Union, which signed an agreement on free trade zone with Vietnam. It is likely that we will sign such agreements with other States. With anyone, even with Japan, if they are willing to discuss, if we would be interested”, he continued.

Medvedev stressed that it should happen according to clear rules that should not violate the General trade rules of the WTO.
