Moscow. November 19. Russia’s GDP in January-September 2015 fell by 3.7%, the Federal statistics service said on Thursday. This coincides with the earlier estimate of the Ministry of economic development.
In 2014 during the same period, GDP grew by 0.7%.
Rosstat publishes the first estimate of GDP growth for 9 months. The decline of the economy in the third quarter, as previously reported by the Bureau of statistics, was 4.1% compared to 4.6% in the second quarter.
The official forecast of Ministry of economic development foresees a decline in GDP in 2015 by 3.9%, while the head of the Ministry Alexei Ulyukayev said earlier that the decline may be slightly less. In October, according to the Ministry, GDP with the exclusion of the seasonality increased by 0.1%.
