MOSCOW, November 19. The Bureau of the Supreme Council of United Russia discussed preparations for the holding of primary elections (primaries) for candidates for election to the state Duma and the rotation of the governing bodies of the party. At the meeting “discussed issues related to the preparation of the upcoming XV Congress of the party”, have informed in a press-service.

In particular, clarified that the members of the Bureau discussed the draft provisions on the conduct of primaries for the Duma elections, which was presented at the joint meeting of the Higher and General party councils on 15 October and sent to regional offices to gather suggestions.

As reported by the media, the last time the Bureau of the High Council were gathered in 2012.

As explained a source in the party, since 2012, “the Bureau worked – many decisions were made in absentia”.

Now, according to him, the Bureau intends to intensify its work and will begin to hold meetings on a monthly basis.

At the meeting on Thursday “agreed that the Bureau would more actively together in such a powerful format,” said the Agency interlocutor.

“The meetings will be held every month since December,” he said.
