Operator rekomenduet as a temporary measure to restart the phone and manually select the network of another foreign operator. The problem of registration of roaming subscribers of “VimpelCom” was observed in several dozen countries.
MOSCOW, 19 Nov. VimpelCom (trademark “Beeline”), whose subscribers on Thursday faced the problem of registration in roaming charges, plans to eliminate the problem within an hour, said a company spokeswoman Anna Imasheva.
“We apologize to all our customers in roaming, who could affect this problem. We expect to completely eliminate an accident accomplished within an hour,” she said.
The problem of registration of roaming subscribers of “VimpelCom” was observed in several dozen countries. “Currently, in several countries the relationship is restored. As an interim measure, we also recommend to restart the phone and try to choose in the manual mode, the foreign network of another operator,” said Imasheva.
According to her, the reason for the failure is the damage to the cable of “Rostelecom”. “According to our information, the reason for this is cable damage on the side of “Rostelecom”, the channels through which organized traffic in roaming. Now the staff of “Rostelecom” work is underway to restore service,” said Imasheva.
