In Sevastopol was not rolling blackouts, consumption is still


SEVASTOPOL, November 21. /Corr. Janina Vaskovsky/. The energy consumption of Sevastopol on Friday and Saturday remain the same, no rolling blackout. About this informed the head of Department of municipal economy of the government of Sevastopol Oleg Kazarin.

“The consumption volumes to yesterday’s and today’s days are not reduced. The electricity supply has not decreased. But fears remain with us, while on the Ukrainian side is not completed the repair work. We’re in standby,” said Kazarin.

20 November have failed two high-voltage transmission line of electricity in the Crimea as a result of damage to two transmission poles. In Sevastopol all agencies have been instructed to include an Autonomous system of life support.

Earlier, Minister of energy Alexander Novak told journalists that the repair lines power lines can be completed during the 21-22 November. “Had headquarters. Everything is fine. There repair two lines, two in the work. Repair the Ukrainian side promised to be completed in the shortest possible time – on the weekends,” said Novak.

Daily need of Sevastopol’s electricity is 150-160 MW. In case of a power outage as a backup source will involve more than 200 diesel generators and three gas turbine stations with a total capacity of 105 MW.
