Termination of electricity supply to Crimea has not affected work of the airport of Simferopol


SIMFEROPOL, November 22. The termination of the supply of electricity from Ukraine to Crimea has not affected work of the airport of Simferopol. TASS said the airport Director Yevgeny Plaksin.

“Work perfectly, all in a regular mode. The airport is fully operational. Flights on schedule are prepared, the passengers arrive in the terminal lighting and warmth is,” he said.

Plaksin has explained that some time after the cessation of the supply of electricity from Ukraine the airport was working on backup power supplies including diesel generators. After the commissioning of the main facilities of the Crimea, including the Simferopol CHP, the supply of air traffic resumed under the basic scheme.

The launch of the TPP was also allowed to resume power supply to some districts of Simferopol, the correspondent of TASS.

As explained to journalists the first Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Sheremet, in the absence of energy supplies from Ukraine in the cities of the Crimea will apply blackouts. The state of emergency imposed in the region, will continue until full restoration of power supply of the Peninsula.
