MOSCOW, 22 Nov. The head of Committee of civil initiatives (CGI), former Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexey Kudrin considers acceptable “some involvement” of public organizations and population in the monitoring of the collection of taxes, but urges to consider that there is a tax secret, when not everyone can be admitted to such information.

On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin proposed to create a mechanism of public control on tax of consumer goods and services: the Russians must be given the opportunity after the purchase of goods and services to check, reported the business to the tax authorities. According to Putin, in the first stage to this work may link the popular front.

“There is a tax secret, there are certain principles that when not everyone can be admitted to these things. Don’t know in what sense this is to be expected, although some involvement of public organizations, the population control fee (taxes — ed.) could be,” said Kudrin, answering a question of one of participants of the third all-Russia civil forum on Sunday.
