Putin signed a law abolishing the VAT on glasses and lenses


MOSCOW, November 23. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed Federal law on amendments to the Tax code of the Russian Federation, in accordance with which exempt from taxation the value added tax (VAT) the sale of points used simultaneously for vision correction and eye protection from the sun.

The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The Federal law was passed by the Parliament on 1 November 2015 and approved by the Federation Council on 18 November 2015.

The law will take effect from the first day of the next tax period.
