President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to Russia expects to hold a meeting with the Russian head of state Vladimir Putin, said the press service of the Belarusian leader.
MINSK, 23 Nov. Nina Gurin. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on November 25-26, will pay an official visit to Russia, during which it expects to hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, reported on Monday the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Previously, Lukashenko said that his first foreign visit after the presidential election, which he won for the fifth time, will do in Russia. Later the assistant to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov said that the heads of Russia and Belarus will hold talks on November 26, which, in particular, will discuss the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant and, possibly, the creation of a Russian aviation base in Belarus.
The press service also noted that during Lukashenka’s visit to Russia is planned to sign a number of international instruments. It is noted that the program of the visit of the Belarusian head of state is also expected to meet with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matviyenko and State Duma Chairman Sergei Naryshkin.
Belarussian President will also lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
