MOSCOW, November 25. The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko said that the opening in Ekaterinburg of Russia’s first Presidential center of Boris Yeltsin has huge educational value.

“It’s a very civilized form to honor the memory of those who governed the country, and it has huge educational value”, – told reporters the Federation Council speaker, answering the question.

Matviyenko recalled that the Presidential center of Boris Yeltsin is created in accordance with the Federal law of 2008 on honouring the memory of former presidents of Russia, retired. “I think this is a very good tradition that exists in the world,” she said. According to the Senator, that the Russians will know and remember their history, and “not to be slaves, not remembering relationship”, and “to pay tribute to those people who ruled the state.”

“I think this will allow us to give a more serious analysis of the current history, will allow to leave from practice, when every new Manager starts with a clean slate, like nothing happened”, – concluded the speaker of the upper house of the Russian Parliament.

Presidential center of Boris Yeltsin opens on Wednesday in Yekaterinburg, the home of the first President of the Russian Federation. Opening the complex consists of Museum, library, archive, educational and children’s centres, exhibition halls. Its primary mission is the preservation of the historical heritage of the first President of Russia and his era. As told by the widow of the first President of Russia Naina Yeltsin, the exhibits of the Center will be not only personal belongings, and evidence associates the policy, but also documents from various sources, to promote an objective understanding of the historical heritage of the 1990-ies.
