ATOR: cancellation of tours to Turkey or their replacement will need 6 thousand Russians

MOSCOW, November 25. Cancellation of tours to Turkey or their replacement will affect about 6 thousand Russians, is spoken in the message of Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR).

Those tourists who have already booked and paid for tours. Mainly vouchers purchased before the New year. “Tour operators will offer their clients other destinations or fully return the money”, – quotes the head of the transport Committee ATOR Dmitry Gorin, the press service of the Association.

Only in Turkey are now 10-11 thousand Russian tourists, according to ATOR. However, while the question of the removal of Russians from Turkey, as was the case with Egypt, is not, reported earlier the head of Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia on 24 November, recommended that the Russians to refrain from traveling to Turkey because of the threat to their security. In turn, Rosturizm recommended Russian tour operators to suspend selling tours to Turkey and sending tourists in this country, directly or through third countries. The largest Russian tour operators have agreed with the recommendation of the Federal tourism Agency. In particular, suspend the sale of tours to Turkey announced “Pegas Touristik”, “Natalie tours”, Tez Tour, Brisco, “Biblio Globus”, etc.

The Russians have the right to demand a full refund of the cost of tours to Turkey due to deteriorating travel conditions, reported previously in the Federal tourism Agency. If the Russians decided to interrupt a holiday in Turkey after recommendations of the foreign Ministry and the Federal tourism Agency, on the return of funds in the amount proportional to cost of not rendered services.

The attack on su-24M

November 24 Russian bomber su-24M was shot down by a missile “air-air”, released fighter F-16 from the Turkish air force. One of the pilots was killed, another was rescued and taken to a Russian base. During the operation for the evacuation of the crew was also destroyed Russian helicopter Mi-8, resulted in the death of a marine-a soldier.

In Turkey claim that the downed plane had violated the country’s airspace. The Russian defense Ministry claims that the su-24M remained in the sky over Syria, and violated the border attacked a Turkish fighter.

The Russian General staff warned that Russia will destroy all potentially dangerous targets over Syria, and announced the deployment to the Syrian coast missile cruiser “Moskva” with the air defense system “Fort” (similar to s-300).
