Moscow. On 26 November. Association of manufacturers (OVS), which includes the largest enterprises of the industry, proposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to implement a complete ban on extension of service life of freight cars in Russia, including through the modernization, said several sources in the market of transport engineering and railway transport.
According to them, the idea was voiced at a meeting on Wednesday in Nizhni Tagil (Sverdlovsk region) Chapter OBC, General Director of JSC “Uralvagonzavod” (UVZ) Oleg Sienko. The proposals set out in the corresponding address of the top Manager to the head of state.
According to one source, Putin instructed to consider this idea, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich. The official will hold a meeting on this occasion, added the Agency interlocutor. Another source reported that the meeting scheduled for Thursday. In UVZ did not comment on the outcome of the meeting.
The current procedure for extending the service life of cars is valid since August 2014, when entered into force the technical regulations of the Customs Union. The Russian authorities have forbidden to extend the life of the rolling stock without its modernization and re-certification.
