Russia, as a leading country in the gas market, is ready to expand cooperation and to secure supplies of liquefied natural gas in Saudi Arabia, said Minister of energy Alexander Novak.
MOSCOW, 26 Nov. Russia is ready to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the gas sector and to consider LNG supplies to the country, told reporters energy Minister Alexander Novak.
“As for gas supplies, primarily it is the subject of discussion between commercial companies, but Russia, as a leading country in the gas market, is ready to expand cooperation and to secure supplies of liquefied natural gas (Saudi Arabia — ed.). Moreover, LNG is currently one of the main directions of our development”, — said Novak at a press conference after the meeting of the intergovernmental Commission with Saudi Arabia.
Novak also added that Russia is ready to increase deliveries of LNG to the world markets. “And in case of need Saudi Arabia, we also prepared a commercial agreement with them to spend,” he said.
