Russian regions refuse to purchase Turkish products

MOSCOW, November 25. Russian farmers will benefit, if you decide to enter the food embargo against Turkey.

This was stated by the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin.

A number of Russian regions have already made statements of refusal to buy the Turkish products – the country could well do without them, give an opinion of the business correspondents.

Assistant to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Gennady Onishchenko considers that each buyer of Turkish tomatoes is a small contributor “once a missile that will shoot at our guys”. About ex-head of Rospotrebnadzor said at a forum in Moscow.

The introduction of grocery embargo “could be considered as a possible variant of the t refusal of economic cooperation, and the option is quite sensitive,” said Shokhin.

According to the Association of companies of retail trade in Russia’s total imports of agricultural products and food Turkish is 4.3%. The share of fruits and nuts from Turkey 46.9% of imports, including 23% in citrus, 10.8 per cent for grapes.

The share of vegetables – 34%, including fresh tomatoes – 24,9%.
