MOSCOW, November 26. /Corr. Sergey Izotov/. Member of the Federation Council Committee on economic policy Anton Belyakov proposed to raise the total debt of the legal entity, which is necessary for the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings, with 300 to 500 thousand rbl. the Corresponding bill the Senator sent today to the state Duma.

In the explanatory note to the document (copy available), it is noted that at the present time “for the commencement of the bankruptcy case of legal entity it is necessary that claims against the debtor in the aggregate was not less than 300 thousand rubles”, while for a similar procedure in relation to individuals “need to get the total amount of its debts was not less than 500 thousand rubles.”

“It’s such a different approach to the bankruptcy of individuals and legal entities seems unwarranted and unfair,” – said Belyakov its legislative initiative. “After all, the amount of 500 thousand rubles for natural persons is much more considerable than 300 thousand – for legal entities”, – he said.

The author of the initiative believes that the adoption of the bill, “including, will allow to reduce the number of abuses by unscrupulous debtors during the initiation of bankruptcy procedures”.
