The talks between Putin and Hollande in the Kremlin ended

MOSCOW, 26 Nov. In the Kremlin the meeting of the presidents of Russia and France Vladimir Putin and Francois Hollande. The talks between the leaders started at 19.45 GMT and lasted more than 2.5 hours. It is expected that by the end of the conversation the presidents of Russia and France will give a press conference.

At the beginning of the meeting, the leaders shook hands, then sat down in his chair and began negotiations. The hall was attended by members of the Russian and French delegations.

At the talks the French President called his Russian colleague by name, turning to him. Started it with the words “Mos cher Vladimir” — “My dear Vladimir”.

In the open part of the conversation, Putin and Hollande called for the need for cooperation and create a broad international coalition against terrorism.

“We are ready for this cooperation, Mr. President,” said Putin. He stressed that Russia suffered serious losses as a result of the “heinous act of terrorism against the civilian aircraft”. “All this forces us to combine efforts in the fight against this common threat,” — said the President of the Russian Federation.

In turn, the French President said that he arrived in Moscow in order to coordinate the actions of countries to effectively combat terrorism.

“That is why I am here today, in Moscow, with you, for together we were able to find a solution this way, to coordinate our actions in order to fight effectively against a common enemy,” said he.

According to Hollande, “the time has come to take responsibility for what is happening”.

He said that in this regard over the past few days have seen the leaders of Britain, Germany, USA, Italy.

As previously reported by the press service of the Kremlin, during the negotiations the two presidents intended to discuss combating the terrorist threat, including coordination in the fight against grouping “Islamic state” and other important issues of the international agenda.

In the materials for the meeting reported that the presidents can discuss including the situation in Ukraine and the process of the Syrian settlement.

Will also exchange opinions on the whole complex of bilateral relations.

Putin and Hollande agreed to meet on 17 November, immediately after the terrorist attacks in Paris. During the telephone conversation they also discussed cooperation in counter-terrorism and have agreed to ensure closer liaison and coordination between military and intelligence agencies in the operation against terrorists in Syria.
