TEHERAN, 28 Nov. The largest private oil company of Russia LUKOIL intends in April next year to open its representative office in Iran, said the Agency Sputnik Commissioner for legal Affairs in the Iranian national oil company (them to Inoc) Ali Akbar Meherazad.
According to him, about these plans, the company’s Vice-President of LUKOIL for development of the segment “exploration & production” Dmitry Tymoshenko during talks with Deputy Iranian oil Minister Rukn Ad-DIN, Javadi.
“Mr. Tymoshenko held a meeting with Mr. Javadi during the forum, the meeting lasted several hours. At this meeting they discussed the formula of new Iranian proposals,” said Meherazad at an international forum in which Tehran’s oil and gas projects to international investors.
“Tymoshenko stressed the need and importance of this conference and at the same time pointed to the necessity to start negotiations between the company and Iran against the new proposals,” he added.
The law Commissioner in them to Inoc also reported that the Executive Director of LUKOIL stressed the importance of the Iranian market and assured the Deputy Minister of oil that “the company will open its representative office in Iran in early April of next year.”
Answering the question about whether there were offers from the Russian companies, Maharshi said: “the Company has shown its willingness to return to the investments which were started before she stopped work in Tehran amid international embargo in 2010. Especially investments in the part of the Anaran oilfield on the border with Iraq, which opened a Russian company and started operation there since 2003”.
