The Kremlin: the issue of sanctions against Russia was not discussed at the talks between Putin and Hollande

This was stated by Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov, speaking at the annual European Russian forum in the European Parliament.

However, the Russian permanent representative noted that the artificiality and ineffectiveness of EU sanctions against Russia are becoming more apparent.

Political dialogue between Russia and the EU continues

The EU and Russia must not be closed off from each other, despite the negative background of bilateral relations, said the Russian permanent representative.

“However, despite the negative background in our relations, political dialogue with the EU continues. We believe that the main thing in the current situation – not close to each other and to work together to redress the situation, driven primarily by the strategic vision of the overall priorities of Russia and EU”, – said the diplomat.

To defeat terrorism it is possible only within the coalition

Speaking about the fight against the terrorist threat, Chizhov noted that international terrorism can be defeated only by the efforts of a broad anti-terrorist coalition.

Kremlin: the Russian Federation proceeds from the principle of reciprocity in response to the extension of US sanctions

“In may this year we celebrated an important date, reminding the whole world how 70 years ago the allied Nations, being able to find the strength to overcome ideological differences, United in the face of common threats and together overcame fascism, – said the diplomat. Today the world is faced with a new, equally ruthless enemy – international terrorism, which knows no borders. You can win it only if we join efforts in a broad anti-terrorist coalition, based on the principles of respect for international law and the UN Charter. This is Russia constantly offers its partners”.

According to him, the “freezing” of cooperation in this area under any pretext and any kinds of delays play into the hands of international terrorist international threat to human civilization.

“ISLAMIC STATE”

“Islamic state” (ISIS) – an Islamist terrorist organization operating inside Iraq and Syria. Established on 15 October 2006 by the merger of 11 radical Sunni groups. The core group forming the militants, who fought with American troops during their stay in Iraq and with the forces of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

The IG recognized as a terrorist organization in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, India, Indonesia, and Russia (29 December 2014).

“Ideological forces” the EU on the fight against windmills “Russian propaganda”

In the European Union creates the “ideological forces” in the fight against windmills “Russian propaganda”, also said Chizhov.

“Within the Executive structures of the European Union even created a kind of “ideological forces” in the fight against windmills “Russian propaganda”, – he said.

The diplomat stressed that “with Russophobia in the EU, of course, we have faced before.” “Today, however, under the pretext of rebutting a non-existent “hybrid threats” attempts to literally erase from public consciousness the perception of Russia as an integral part of European civilization, not just saved Europe from certain destruction, to build between our peoples psychological wall of alienation and mistrust,” he said.

As in the EU relate to the abolition of the abolition of Brussels the visa regime with Turkey

Chizhov also noted that the prospect of Brussels cancel visa regime with Turkey is controversial in the EU.

“The abolition of the visa regime tomorrow, the Turkish no promises. This process is quite time consuming. The prospect is controversial among member countries of the EU,” he said.

On last Sunday the EU-Turkey leaders of the community promised to provide Ankara a visa-free regime by the autumn of 2016, if it will fulfil all the necessary requirements.

However, the EU leadership prefers not to speak about the current crisis between Russia and Turkey, told journalists the Russian permanent representative.

“Information warfare is, therefore, of the country and the EU leadership about the current crisis phase of Russian – Turkish relations prefer not to speak. And I can understand that, because either I must speak the truth, and then all the prospects to reach an agreement with Turkey will be minimized, or need to look quite so insincere and hypocritical in the eyes of its own public,” – said the diplomat.

Turkey promised €3 billion EU still needs to find

The European Union has yet to find the promised Turkey €3 billion to fight migration crisis, said Russian permanent representative.

“Promise, as they say, is a political action, but to find these €3 billion yet the European Union,” he said.

According to the Russian diplomat, the migration crisis of the European Union – a challenge for the whole project of European integration. “It may be stronger than the Eurozone crisis”, – said Chizhov.

On last Sunday the EU-Turkey Brussels has promised Ankara to give 3 bln euros to support the refugees. Thus, community leaders are not informed from what sources will be allocated these funds. The European Commission has proposed from the EU budget €500 million and a further €2.5 billion should collect the member countries of the EU to 21 December.
