Manturov: the restriction on the import of light industry of Turkey still will not be introduced


MOSCOW, December 1. Restrictions on imports of light industry products from Turkey so far will not be introduced, told journalists the Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

“We are carefully studying this question, to date, the light industry, especially if we’re talking about raw until (limit) will not be imposed, because we ourselves are beneficial from the point of view of obtaining inexpensive raw materials. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin on November 28 signed a decree “On measures for safeguarding national security of the Russian Federation and the protection of citizens from criminal and other unlawful acts and on application of special economic measures against the Turkish Republic.”

In accordance with the decree, a ban or restriction on the import into Russia of certain types of Turkish goods. The government was instructed to adopt measures providing for the ban on Charter air transportation between Russia and Turkey, the strengthening of control over the activities of the Turkish road carriers in the Russian Federation, port control and monitoring to ensure transport security of the water areas of Russian sea ports in the Azov-black sea basin.
