– The Rosselkhoznadzor may ban import of crop products, especially fruits and vegetables through Belarus from those countries, which identified the fake phytosanitary certificates. Most violators of the Russian food embargo counterfeit certificates Turkey and Morocco.

“It is possible that we will be forced to suspend the supply of crop production through Belarus from the countries, phytosanitary certificates were found fake,” – said the Deputy head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Shvabauskene.

According to her, this decision can be made based on the results of negotiations, the management Agency with the Minister of agriculture and food of Belarus Leonid Zayats on Tuesday in Moscow.

It is assumed that the products from these countries will not be discharged before receiving their competent authorities of electronic submission confirmation.

Just this year the Rosselkhoznadzor detected 417 fake phytosanitary certificates, which the Belarusian colleagues issued re-export certificates. “This applies to apples, pears, persimmons and other products of unknown origin, which was a major fake certificates,” said Shvabauskene.

Most had forged certificates Turkey – 178, Turkey confirmed that it was not given them. In addition, discovered 115 fraudulent certificates of Morocco, 46 – Macedonia, 28 – Tunisia, 22 – Serbia, 19 – Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 in Israel. Forged certificates of Brazil, Ecuador, South Africa, Chile.

“This suggests that the number of products of unknown origin that entered the country, much more because there are bypasses around our notice, said Shvabauskene. And this suggests that today Belarus certifies products of unknown origin without ensuring the safety of pesticides, the nitrates. These indicators are not checked”.

In Rosselkhoznadzor believe that all of the fake documents produced in the EU to bypass Russia’s food embargo. “Otherwise why, for example, for Moroccan products is selected such complex logistics – through Poland, Lithuania or Latvia, when usually it is supplied by the containers to Novorossiysk?” – explained Shvabauskene.
