Non-parliamentary parties in the state Duma will discuss the retirement age of officials


The Duma Council decided on consideration of a bill raising the retirement age for certain categories of citizens at the plenary session on 18 December with the participation of representatives of non-parliamentary parties, said the speaker of the state Duma Naryshkin.

MOSCOW, 3 Dec. Non-parliamentary parties will be invited to the meeting of the state Duma on 18 December and will participate in the discussion of a bill to raise the retirement age of officials, told journalists the head of the lower house of the Russian Parliament Sergey Naryshkin.

“Today, the Council of the Duma took a decision on consideration of a bill raising the retirement age for certain categories of citizens at the plenary session on 18 December with the participation of representatives of non-parliamentary parties,” Naryshkin said to journalists.

He explained that in accordance with the legislation of the state Duma invites representatives of non-parliamentary parties to discuss one or more fairly important legislation. Selected was this bill.

According to Naryshkin, will be invited representatives of all non-parliamentary parties, but questions will members ten of them.

“The criteria were as follows: the results of the regional and local elections in September, the activity of non-parliamentary parties in the work of the Board non-parliamentary parties in the State Duma taking into account the specific rotation of this category of parties who have been granted the right to act a year ago, that there is no recurrence,” explained the speaker.
