MOSCOW, 2 Dec. Additional 400 megawatts of electricity, which together will act upon the energy bridge to the Crimea from the Kuban on the 20th of December, to close 80-90% of the needs of the Russian Peninsula, said Minister of energy Alexander Novak.
“Of course, those 400 megawatts to 20 December we will have advanced, does not cover the full needs. But in view of the generation that has been rebased — diesel generators, mobile gas turbine power plants — will we be able to close 80-90% of the needs of the Crimea”, — said Novak in the air of TV channel “Russia 24” on Wednesday evening.
“Only, of course, there are certain nuances: we will not have an additional reserve, as we have (provided) in the Unified energy system. Certainly, the equipment should operate reliably to provide all the needs,” he added.
On Wednesday, he along with President Vladimir Putin participated in the first phase of power bridge to Crimea from the Kuban. According to Novak, on Wednesday was included in the operation of the first thread, which will allow the transfer of 200 megawatts.
