USDA: grain harvest in clean weight in Russia in 2015 may reach 102 million tons


MOSCOW, December 3. The grain harvest in clean weight in Russia in 2015 may amount to about 102 million tons, reported at the XV annual conference “Agroholdings of Russia. Winter 2015” the first Deputy head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Evgeny Gromyko.

“In Russia it is expected a good harvest of grain this year – it will be about 102 million tons, may be, exactly 102 million tons,” he said, noting that this indicator is in net weight.

Gromyko added that at year-end agriculture shows steady growth unlike other sectors of the economy. According to preliminary data, agricultural production in 2015 will grow by 2%, he said.

The Ministry of agriculture earlier predicted that 2015 will be a collection of 101.5 million tons of grain in net weight. By the end of 2014, Russia’s grain harvest has reached 105 million tons of grain.

According to the head of the Ministry of agriculture Alexander Tkachev, a year Russia can export 30 million tons of grain. In the season of the 2014-2015 marketing year (July-June) grain exports amounted to 30.5 million tons.
