Integration on the Eurasian continent need to intensify, said a member of the state Duma Leonid Slutsky. First of all, the line of contact must be found between the Eurasian economic Union and the economic belt of the silk road, he added.
MOSCOW, 3 Dec. The Chairman of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Leonid Slutsky, commenting on the proposal of President Vladimir Putin on the partnership of the SCO, the EEU and ASEAN, said the need to build up integration on the Eurasian continent and find a specific line mates, first of all, between the Eurasian economic Union and the economic belt of the silk road.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin in his annual address to the Federal Assembly proposed, together with colleagues in the Eurasian economic Union to begin consultations with members of the SCO and ASEAN on forming a possible economic partnership.
“The President also clearly defined datum point for further integration processes — and the EEU and the SCO, and APEC. Integration on the Eurasian continent need to step up and find a specific between the line interface between the Eurasian economic Union and the economic belt of the silk road. This is the basis of our common Eurasian way, where Russia next 100 years will play a leading role,” said Slutsky journalists, commenting on the President’s address.
The head of the Committee noted that the President’s message was never as clear and structured. “Justified, it began with the theme of combating international terrorism in Syria, with the line that we live on the far outskirts of Russia, protecting the national security of the country. It’s been a Foundation block,” he said.
“It is very important that in speaking of the treacherous act of a Turkish air force shot down Russian su-24 bomber over Syria, the President clearly and with emphasis said that Russia is not against the Turkish people. We have a lot of friends, reliable partners. We are against only the part of the Turkish authorities, which had no qualms about making money together with the terrorists of ISIS, providing them with aiding”, — said Slutsky.
