Moscow. December 3. The combined fleet of the airline “Russia” can be extended with long-haul Boeing-737-800 and Boeing-777-200 because of the competition for the corporate identity of the carrier in the system “SPARK-Marketing”.
Currently, Rossiya airlines operates scheduled domestic and international shipments on Airliners manufactured by Airbus – the A320 and A319.
Under the terms of the tender, the contractor shall develop drawings of the exterior (livery) aircraft fleet consisting of A319, A320, Boeing-737-800, Boeing 777-200.
The fleet of JSC “Russia” will be replenished with the wide-body Boeing in the establishment on the basis of “Russia” mid-price carrier, including regional subsidiary airline “Aeroflot”, from the presentation on financial results “Aeroflot” according to IFRS for 9 months.
Into a single structure will enter “Russia” and “Donavia” and “Orenburg airlines”.
United airlines, in a presentation called “new”, “Russia”, will focus on regional transportation in the middle price segment, as well as on international routes in “selected areas”.
In the presentation it is specified that the route network of the combined carrier will consist of 90 destinations, including 48 domestic and 42 international. In this case, the schedule can be included with the new directions that are missing on the current route map of the three carriers, in particular, a single company can get a part of routes “Transaero”.
Base airports of the unified company will be “Vnukovo” and “Pulkovo” and “other regional airports”.
The carrier’s fleet will be expanded. Currently “Russia” and “Donavia” and “Orenburg airlines” has 64 aircraft, of which 90% and 10 narrowbody% widebody. In the “new” “Russia” the share of wide-body sides will increase to 24% due to the inclusion in the combined fleet of 24 Boeing Transaero. In particular, the combined company will receive five Boeing-777 and Boeing-767 aircraft and 14 Boeing 747. The total number of sides of the “new” “Russia” will be 82 units after removal from the fleet “Russia” six liners An-148.
The period of establishment of a single structure in the presentation is not clarified, it is currently the “approved strategy, is integration”.
At the beginning of the current year the airline “Russia” made the decision about the decommissioning and the return to the lessors six liners An-148 and three Boeing-767-300. Former CEO of “Russia” Vasily Bags in June said that the carrier intends to operate only Airbus aircraft of the A320 family because monoflat will help to optimize maintenance costs.
In October of the current year “Aeroflot” announced intentions to gain from “Sberbank Leasing” ten Boeing-737-800 and four Boeing-747, which was previously leased from Transaero.
Another 10 aircraft in service of “Transaero”, “Aeroflot” plans to get in leasing from “VTB Leasing”.
“Russia” is among the five largest Russian airlines. Its main shareholders are OJSC “Aeroflot – Russian airlines” (75% minus 1 share) and the administration of St. Petersburg (25% + 1 share).
