Moscow. December 4. Of the five deliveries of Belarusian dairy factories to Russia from December 7, will not be suspended, reports the state Agency “BelTA” with reference to head of the main Department of foreign economic activity of the Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus Alexei Bogdanov.
“This decision was made tonight by the Rosselkhoznadzor at the request of the Belarusian side. We have received an official letter,” said Bogdanov.
He noted that according to information of the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance of Russia, “the decision to impose temporary restrictions from five Belarusian dairy enterprises in Russia will be made based on the results of the upcoming talks between the two countries, which will take place on 7-8 December in Moscow”.
Thus, summed A. Bogdanov, the export of Belarusian dairy products will continue, and finally the decision of the Russian side to take after providing the Belarusian veterinary service of additional materials about the elimination of violations identified by the results of the inspection of dairy enterprises.
On 2 December, the Rosselkhoznadzor reported that from December 7 introduces a ban on import of products from five dairy enterprises of Belarus. As reported in the press release of the Ministry, the restriction applies to the company “Milkovich”, Rogachev milk canning plant, Slutsk cheese-making plant, dairy “Novogrudok gifts”, “Smorgon dairy products” (branch of OJSC “Lida milk plant”). The corresponding letter addressed to the veterinary service of Belarus sent on Wednesday.
The decision was made due to the fact that the Belarusian side has not taken measures to prevent deliveries to Russia of the dangerous products, says the service.
From 19 to 23 October, Russian specialists together with their Belarusian colleagues tested 15 Belarusian enterprises (dairy 6 and 9 fish). Tests have shown illegal use of Belarusian raw materials producers closed the Rosselkhoznadzor with the third countries, the use of veterinary drugs prohibited for use in animal husbandry, and a number of other violations. It was also found that individual enterprises use unreliable methods for assessing the residual amounts of the drugs.
Based on the audit results the Rosselkhoznadzor recommended to the Belarusian colleagues to restrict supply with 5 dairy enterprises, however, this was not done.
In late November, the Rosselkhoznadzor has stated that it will take all measures in order to prevent the Russian market for Belarusian products unsafe.
