MOSCOW, 6 Dec. The head of the CEC of Russia Vladimir Churov has invited a colleague from Armenia to take part in monitoring the elections of deputies of the State Duma, which will be held in Russia in 2016.
The head of the Russian Central election Commission at the invitation of the CEC of Armenia takes part in monitoring the referendum on amending the country’s Constitution, which took place on 6 December. Also these days in Armenia, the delegation of the CEC, coordinated by the appointed member of the Commission Oleg Lavrov, she has participated in monitoring the referendum in the mission of the CIS.
In Churov during the visit to Armenia took place his meeting with the Chairman of the Armenian CEC Tigran Mukuchyan, according to the Russian Central election Commission. The heads of election commissions of the two countries during the meeting, including, exchanged views on the development of international cooperation in the electoral field.
“At the end of the meeting Vladimir Churov has invited A. T. Mukuchyan to participate in monitoring the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the seventh convocation in September 2016”, — stated in the message of the CEC.
Also during the visit the head of the Russian Tsentrizbirkoma met with extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in Armenia Ivan Volynkin. During the meeting special attention was paid to the issues of preparation of elections of deputies of the state Duma regarding the organization of voting of citizens of the Russian Federation on the territory of Armenia, the report says.
