MINSK, 7 December. /Corr. Larisa Klyuchnikova/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called the situation in the economy is complex and therefore warned the government experiments.
“In today’s world, almost as if the war is going. We need to mobilize well-known methods that we know how to act, understand them. We must build on them and act, not to throw a different sort of experiment,” he said at a meeting on economic issues. According to him, “we need concrete proposals”.
Lukashenko expressed confidence that Belarusian economy is absolutely competitive in price and quality. “Miracles do not happen, in times of crisis we can’t, even if you want to create a new economy, that is, instead of our machine-building complex, for example, to make something of the space”, he said.
Noting that Belarus has good people, education, industrial school, the head of state stressed the need for “a little bit to move, to strain”.
“We should not act in favor of someone, whether it be the international community, the IMF, Russia and other countries. We never created problems,” he said. Meanwhile, he noted that Belarus counts on the assistance and support from the international community and Russia, first of all, in the economy.
According to Lukashenka, the situation for many Belarusian industrial enterprises “remains difficult, if not worse”, there has been negative growth in agriculture and trade, did not get the construction industry, reduced exports, decreased investment.
Meanwhile, as reported to the Belarusian leader, the government of the Republic, in General, stability is preserved in full in the period the country is calculated for all public liabilities and monetary debt.
