Power: the economy of the Crimea demonstrates the dynamics, despite the difficulties


Among the difficulties faced by the Peninsula, is low transport accessibility, the difficulty with the supply of natural resources such as water and electricity, said the Minister of economic development of Crimea Valentin Demidov.

SIMFEROPOL, 8 Dec –. The Crimean economy for this year shows a positive trend, despite a number of objective difficulties, said Minister of economic development of Crimea Valentin Demidov.

“In 2015, the economy of the Republic of Crimea demonstrates a number of sustainable positive trends, despite certain objective difficulties,” — said Demidov at the meeting of the Crimean government.

To the difficulties, the Minister attributed the low transport accessibility, the difficulty with the supply of strategic natural resources, especially water and electricity, severance of long-term relations with partners, high dependence of the Crimean manufacturers from foreign suppliers of materials and components.

Once again, the Crimea became a Russian region after the March 2014 referendum in which the overwhelming majority of people at that time still Ukrainian autonomy, does not recognize the legitimacy of coup d’etat in Ukraine, voted to return to Russia.

The Ukrainian authorities have completely stopped with the Russian region’s air, rail, bus and freight. In addition, stopped the supply of food and Dnieper water and energy organized a blockade of the Peninsula.
