The arbitration of Moscow will consider the claim of the savings Bank to the structure of “Mechel”


Preliminary hearings on the suit of the savings Bank to recover about 51 million dollars with the company “southern Kuzbass”, included in “Mechel” will be held on Tuesday. This claim was submitted to arbitration simultaneously with the other three claims of the Bank to the “South Kuzbass”.

MOSCOW, 8 Dec. The Moscow arbitration court on Tuesday will hold a preliminary hearing under the claim of the savings Bank to recover about 51 million dollars from the coal company “southern Kuzbass”, included in “Mechel”.

This claim was submitted to arbitration on October 6 simultaneously with the other three claims, Russia’s largest Bank to “southern Kuzbas” to recover a total of about 669 million dollars and 3.3 billion rubles.

Preliminary hearings on the first three claims have already been held, and the representatives of the parties announced the signing soon of settlement agreements. Hearings in all three cases is scheduled for December 21.

Sberbank is the third largest creditors of “Mechel”. With the other two — Gazprombank and VTB — metallurgical company have already agreed on debt restructuring. Negotiations with the largest Russian Bank continue. Debt “Mechel” before Gazprombank at the end of June was approximately $ 2.3 billion, before the VTB — $ 1.8 billion before savings — $ 1.3 billion.
