The Kremlin: at the time of the pardon Khodorkovsky’s suspicions in his address on the new case was not


MOSCOW, December 8. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin two years ago, when he pardoned the former head of Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky, had no information about suspicions in the address on the murder of the mayor of Nefteyugansk Vladimir Petukhov.

“Of course, was not and it (information) could not be”, – told reporters the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. He said that he has in mind the information that now appeared at the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“Was the information that appeared now was the reason for the action taken by the investigating authorities”, – said the representative of the Kremlin.

This Peskov acknowledged that “suspicions and certain information was available” at the time of the pardon Khodorkovsky. “But the investigating authorities do not stop their work, here in this case we speak about the emergence of any new circumstances”, – said the press Secretary of the President. According to him, these new circumstances should inform the investigating authorities.
