Medvedev: in 2016, the apparatus of the ministries, the governmental unit will reduce by 10%


MOSCOW, December 9. The staff of the ministries of the government unit in 2016 decided to reduce by 10%, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with Russian TV channels.

“We decided to cut our ministries that relate to the governmental bloc, said the Prime Minister in an interview with Russian TV channels. – Unit on government we decided to shorten the device by about 10% next year”. “This decision we will follow through on it”, – he assured.

Medvedev believes that the leave of civil servants should be no more than the rest.

Pausing indexation of salaries of civil servants

On 4 December the state Duma passed a law that pause the indexation of salaries of civil servants by 2016. The law establishes that “in 2016 the size of the specified payments, benefits and compensation, carried out at the expense of the Federal budget, not increasing (not indexed) taking into account the current economic situation”. The document States that “the extension of the suspension of the rules on indexation was adopted for one year and is temporary in nature”.

The average salary of civil servants in Russia for 9 months of 2015 amounted to 100,1 thousand rubles, which is 3.8% more than in the same period in 2014. This is evidenced by the data of Rosstat. According to the Agency, the highest salary received by the civil servants in the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, their average monthly salary for 9 months of 2015 amounted to 206,5 thousand. The average monthly salary of civil servants in the Federation Council has consisted of 151.7 thousand roubles, the state Duma – the 123.3 thousand rubles, in the office of the government of the Russian Federation – 197 thousand.
