Medvedev: the tax system of the Russian Federation still decided not to change

MOSCOW, December 9. Citizens of the Russian Federation, has not yet reached that level of consciousness when not to pay taxes, so the tax system of our country has decided not to change. This was stated by the Chairman of the government Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with Russian TV channels.

“We have not yet reached the level of consciousness at which payments of taxes has become an absolute imperative”, he stated, Recalling that the refusal of payment of taxes is a serious offence and in many countries not to pay tax is simply impossible.

“So at the moment the decision was made – it was supported by the President – that we the tax system do not touch in General, and income tax do not touch in particular”, – concluded Medvedev.

Well 100%

Income tax of 13%, introduced in 2000, was 100% successful, believes Medvedev.

“13% income tax, which we introduced in 2000, it may be that we succeeded 100%. I mean, we – power, which exists since 2000: President Putin, the government and other authorities, who subsequently was engaged in it”, – Medvedev said.

Medvedev believes that the move to a progressive tax on income of natural persons means to cut the chicken with Golden eggs.

The Prime Minister did not rule out the possibility of return to changes in the tax system in 5-7 years.
