“I am convinced that relations between Russia and France needed our both countries. Sometimes we do have our differences, but this should not prevent us from continuing our so special is the dialogue and cooperation,” wrote the Ambassador on the social network Facebook during the chat with users.

According to Ripert, the relationship between Paris and Moscow “based on mutual respect and friendship”.

The French Ambassador also recalled that 10 December is international human rights day. “France and Russia have the obligation to respect these rights within the UN and the Council of Europe. Let us act together, so the world will respect human rights and their defenders,” said Jean-Maurice Ripert.
